Hull Trains February 6

Was booked on the 20.30 Hull Trains yesterday from Kings X only to find it cancelled. Was told that HT only had 1 (one) train actually working and the same today ! It seemed to be working Doncaster - Hull only or was yesterday evening anyway. Pax told to to catch the 20.35 to Leeds changing to Hull Trains at Doncaster.
Anyone know what the problem (s) are ?

Was repirted on the TV this morning smoke in one of the carriages. This is, I guess, on top of some other failure(s) that have seen cancellations aplenty in the last few days.

Hull Trains do only have 4 units anyway and as I recall, one is out of use currently due to the faults it gained a few weeks ago losing its fuel tanks. It seems to be standard practice that when it goes up the wall, Hull Trains revert to serving the lesser served route and VTEC pick up the slack on the busy ECML
