Are the Hull Trains 222's going to have the Neon Livery

I like the Neon livery, but I don't agree with it being put onto Hull Trains, they should stay as they are IMO, otherwise it will be another First group company, rather than the more unique company it used to be. Besides, the current livery provides a bit of a change to normal stuff!

FSR is one of the best TOC's in the UK and has won loads of awards, FTPE has won loads of awards and FCC is improving, so tell me why FHT shouldnt be included in the First Group Rail family ? FGW is having problems but they are slowly but steadily showing some signs of improvement and with Andrew Haines temporarily at the control things will improve further! Hull Trains has its own management who have made it what it is so tell me why changing the livery and leaflets etc will change anything ?

Liveries do affect perceptions; otherwise people wouldn't spend millions of pounds repainting trains every few years.

The other parts of first may or may not be improving. But the fact is that for whatever reason, Hull trains doesn't need to improve in many of the same ways. It may be good for other parts of first to be associated with Hull trains, but it's not good for Hull trains to be associated with the rest of first.

Associating Hull Trains with fCC, probably the most likely association to be drawn, associates Hull Trains with overcrowding, rising fares, a sometimes bizarre fare structure that can make it cheaper to travel to London from stations or to stations further away at peak times, and highly variable customer service.

My point exactly. FTPE and FSR are great TOCs, but people don't think like that. They're more likely to associate the livery with the bad companies. (Obviously as FGW is also one of the biggest TOCs)

Why change something that is already working fine and risk losing customers for the sake of pretty colours?

Refurbishments don't pay for themselves, oh and don't forget the Thameslink 2000 Programme! The money needs to come from somewhere... Tbh I like and dislike FCC Thameslink. I like how they are doing up the line by refurbishing Stations and Trains. But I hate their ticketing system. But in my overall opinion on FCC is generally good and is one of the good TOC's that First Group own. It also gets rid of the rainbow effect (An effect I know, having 319s up here in all colours of the rainbow!).

I think a lot of normal passengers see Hull Trains as personal and independant from the other TOCs, despite being part of First Group. I think this unique image could well be lost if First were to rebrand the company.

I think operating of KX, along with FCC, would cause a problem because I don't think FCC are exactly popular. An association with them could,therefore, prove detrimental.

But, FSR and (from what I've heard) TPE are fantastic companies.

Indeed! Most people blame it 100% on fGW when its not! It mostly involves the DafT as you said. Why don't people see that?
