HUD missing from TrainSim2013?

Hi all,

Apologies if already talked about, but a quick glance in the forum didn't find anything..

I really enjoy playing Train Simulator 2013, but have encountered a big problem recently. My HUD is missing from the game, making it very hard/almost impossible to play the game.

Looking on google, I'm not the only person affected- many appear to be. I've pasted a link below to another forum, where fellow gamers have encountered the same issue, which appears to have happened after a update was uploaded on Steam.

I'm very annoyed, as I'm not bothered about updates, but I don't think there's a way of removing/reversing the update from the game.

Can anyone suggest a way of fixing this?

Steam are aware of the problem, but haven't yet posted a fix to the problem their update has caused.

It's related to certain graphics cards apparently and it's down to the opacity settings. RSC are aware and working on a fix so there is nothing you can do other than sit and wait.

In the meantime it's far from impossible to play, just press F5, that should list the information at the top of the screen. It's what I use, I never use the HUD anyway.

In future, you could always keep Steam offline before an update, and then hang fire and monitor the forums to see if there are any issues which may affect you. If all seems clear, just put Steam back online to get the update.

One of the first things I tried to do a few days ago, was to try the system restore function, and put the game into Offline mode, however it refused to work before I let it connect to the internet and download the affected update..
