Hi

Does anyone know if the fast line platforms at Ealing Broadway are capable of taking 2+8 HSTs, in the way of length and height?

Thanks again,

Ryan

I don't think they're long enough. Looking at Google Earth to check, and assuming the platforms haven't been lengthened, this seems correct.

It's 168m I've been told.

In days gone by it was not unknown for HSTs to terminate at Ealing Broadway instead of Paddington when there were engineering works.

Platform length is irrelevant these days with Selective Door Opening fitted on all FGW HST Mk3s
