As a fan of the HST, I've been wondering if they have ever operated between London - East Anglia on the electrified lines?

I figured you guys may be able to help me?

Thanks;)

I think the NMT has done the line in recent times - late last year a few days after it went to Bournemouth.

I know one ran from Norwich to Lowestoft back in BR days on a railtour, but I don't know how that got to Norwich, if it was from London on the GEML, or if it came from the West via Peterborough and Ely.

Did the European ever operate as an HST or did it always opeate as electric loco with coaching stock (after it switched to WCML/NLL/Anglia).

BTW, European was a boat train from Glasgow to Harwich during BR days

The 1990 one with the IC set was what I was thinking of, I'd forgotten about the 97 run with the GW set. Didn't realise it ran up the Sherringham line aswell though, presume it went up to Cromer.
