Same, top shot that.

Bit random to send a 2+8 HST out on a 150 diagram though. Take it that it was one of the spare sets on Saturday then? Had it on the 2045 PAD > BRI on Friday night before getting 036+034 over to London.

Got the gen on this move this morning on HSTgen, at the time I was enjoying some proper HST action <D

Believe it was the hot spare set as it had a crewed buffet, 401xx. No spare unit to cover the diagram so it was that or cape it I would imagine, so common sense prevailed and they used something (far better in my opinion, no cramped seats, coaches full of norms or underfloor noise gubbins!).

Thanks for the comments though, guys.

Oh right, could have sworn it was 2+8 on Friday, but then wasn't exactly counting them either.

40111 was the micro buffet in the set btw Scott. And aye, good move by FGW to have something else on it instead of not running the service. Take it Filton AW was the only rare shack called at (well, including Severn Tunnel Junction that is)?

Yea it did the Tunnel (which I don't need, so I went ahead in front of it!), Pacthway (which you can get when Parkway is shut) and Filton (which has a booked service but is ruddy early!). I was going to do Patchway - Filton to get 2 winner shacks but left Patchway as that is easy and went down to Taunton as the move was better on to another HST. The cranks on there agreed it would be better for it to drop on the 0800 ex Cardiff as everyone needed Pilning for HST!

Indeed, uber rare that one. Patchway dud for HSTs from both platforms (off one and back the other way on another), did it again by chance after that too. Filton is indeed doable any weekday, off the 0530 PAD > SWA. Gonna do that one day, maybe next week.
