There was only one conversion - ADB 975325. It survives, and is with Riviera Trains.

Who was responsible for operating the generator in service?

Who was responsible for operating the generator in service?

The reason I ask is because once out in service somebody had to look after it. Was it the guard,riding inspectors or footplate crew? If it shut down would the guard go and restart it?

Yes. That's the chocolate and cream BG. They also have 17105,ex Royal train and a Mk1 with compartments 35469 I think.
