Hi all! I was wondering whether anyone could offer any insight as regards the purpose of the HSL online assessment? Like many of you, I have worked in the rail industry for most of my career, and so am not a graduate. Now that I am job-hunting, I keep running up against the HSL online assessment - specifically numerical and literacy reasoning. My online research indicates that this test is aimed at graduates in particular, and when I took the test last week, I struggled to understand the numeric questions, let alone to answer them! Given the level of difficulty, and the lack of relevance to the role applied for, I am wondering what the rail industry hopes to learn about me. Any insight you can offer would be most appreciated.
