I'm sorry but people do not walk across London to change trains. No-one walks from Fenchurch Street to Victoria, from London Bridge to Euston, from Marylebone to Kings Cross to change trains.

There will be a very,very tiny number of people who do - I've walked Charing Cross/Waterloo to Euston, Paddington to Marylebone/Victoria/Charing Cross myself on occasions.

The vast, vast majority will uses tubes, buses, taxis or cycle.

You will see loads of commuters arriving at Liverpool Street walking to their offices in the City.
That doesn't mean you'll see anybody walking from Liverpool Street to Paddington though. There are better ways of making that journey.

You find that, in general, the walking proportion from each terminal drops off quite significantly as distance increases.

For Paddington, walking is no longer a significant proportion of trips by the time Oxford Circus, or the south side of Hyde Park, are reached.

Only closely located terminals like Cannon Street/Liverpool Street have a significant proportion of walking transfers.

Some people do. I’ve done Euston to Waterloo and Liverpool St to London Bridge regularly, and Paddington to Victoria occasionally. Although I agree not many people will do the last of these.
