Hi diagrams experts!

I am currently undertaking a data project which makes use of weekly STP diagrams generated from VoyagerPlan+DiagramExchange as .xml files. One of the fields that is confusing us is "daysrun", which contains a 9-character string (e.g., for a Sunday diagram, we can see it is marked as NYNNNNNNY, which suggests that the characters denoting the weekend are repeated twice over).

Even our Train Planning are completely baffled by this notation (and the reason why VP/DE doesn't just use the more familiar 7-character string). Any experts out there able to shed light as to why this may be the case?

Many thanks!

No idea if this is even remotely correct, but, could it be connected to whether a day of the week is a public/bank holiday (or somehow connected with one?)

The other thought is could it be connected to when GMT changes, so a special day with an extra/less an hour etc?

Might help if you post all the strings, to ensure that some days of the week don't use two places, e.g. Tu / Th.

I'm only used to seeing the plain text CIF file, in which the days run is a 7-character field, so a 9-character field makes no sense to me. I guess that somewhere there must be a VoyagerPlan tech spec, which would describe the fields in the xml schema.
