Figured it out after lots and lots of messing about!! What a PITA RW is for doing anything  It really is one of the most frustrating programs I have ever used!! Give me BVE anyday.

Anyway, rant over! for now ;) Just need to figure out how to make a scenario now and maybe set routes in free roam.

Why a PITA? Did the download come as an .rpk or was it a folder to put in the program files? If it was a .rpk it should have been two or three clicks of the mouse, maximum!

It did come as an rpk, I used the package installer to add the train, but it didnt show up in the game, I found this procedure to make it appear!

To make the locos available you will need to be in a scenario. Click on the globe icon at the bottom of the screen, then the orange loco icon at the top left (confirm yes to enter editing mode). From the menu on the middle of the left hand side, click the blue cube. Then, from the menu on the right hand side of the screen click the box and choose RSvlado from the drop down list. Click in the box next to Addon. Now, when you go to the menu on the left hand side and choose from the list of locos

That did work after some messing about :D

Well, to be fair, that is a 2 click job as well and is part and parcel of using 3rd party assets. If compared to following instructions to aliasing a cabview in MSTS though, a doddle! :D

LOL it might have been if I knew what I was doing hehe  Sounds like you are abit of an RS pro :D

Well, I wouldn't go that far! But I do need to be quite a dab hand with the projects I currently have going on for RW/RS.
