As a past time; I like creating hypothetical open access routes, and I was wondering how to actually find and free paths on the National Rail network?

Many thanks

You would need access to the database of running times, the TPRs and ideally some train planning software (very expensive). You can do it in Excel and something like RealTimeTrains, but it would be incredibly time consuming.
