How to delete a comment in Rail Forums

I recently entered a comment on Rail Forums, and decided to edit it after I had submitted it, but somehow ended up with both the edited and the unedited version showing, and I only wanted to keep the edited version.

I then tried to delete the unedited version, but it didn't seem to want to offer me the option to delete it. It would let me edit it, but not delete it, so in the end I gave up and changed it to ***** (it doesn't let you submit comments with less than 5 characters).

Does anyone know how to delete a comment that you have submitted?

Hit the report button (

), say that you want it deleted, and a moderator will delete it for you when they get the chance

Many people just put "Deleted" as the text, but reporting it in general is probably best as to not clutter up the thread

You cannot delete a post only Forum Staff can delete posts. If you wish to delete a post then please report it (

) to the Forum Staff and we will act as necessary.
