As well as buying or bidding for 1st class upgrades, you can also buy tickets using the Seatfrog app, which has become my preferred way to buy tickets lately.

If you buy a ticket using Seatfrog, it offers you the option of an e-ticket or a paper ticket collected from a ticket vending machine (Ticket on Departure or TOD). If you opt for an e-ticket, it is stored on the app and it doesn't appear to be possible to upload it onto your phone or tablet as a PDF.

Because of this, I wondered what is the best way to claim Delay Repay on any tickets bought in this way. There is a Delay Repay option on the Seatfrog app, but when you click on Delay Repay it just tells you to submit your claim via the relevant train operator.

I can think of a convoluted way of doing it: take a picture of the e-ticket on the Seatfrog app (obviously not an option if you don't possess a proper camera, only a phone camera) or a screenshot of the ticket if your phone can take screenshots, then upload the image onto the Delay Repay form on the relevant operator's website. Can anyone think of a simpler way of doing it?

Actually even if you have a paper ticket you would have to have a camera or a phone with camera to make a photo of it.

I do not know the app Seatfrog but if it is easy to make the screenshot I would say that this it is probably a good way (or workaround).

I can just think of two alternatives, but both of them require some change in the system (in the app or the delay repay form)

* add a function in the app so that you can save the ticket (image or pdf)
* add a function in the process to claim the Delay repay so that you can identify your ticket not by the image/photo, but by entering some numbers/codes (and for this you would have to make the change on every TOCs)

And I do not think that neither of these two options are easy to get implemented
