How many void days would you give?

Customer has annual season ticket from A to B running from 1/1/16 to 31/12/16.

The ticket was priced by TPE from 1/1 to 14/5. Northern took over pricing the flow from 15/5 to 31/12.

TPE declared void days for 2, 4, 5, 9, 25 April / 9, 26 May / 9, 22, 23, 24 June / 11, 13, 19, 30 July / 22 Aug / 26 Sep / 3 Oct

Northern declared no void days

How many void days would the customer be entitled to?

I think that's the question - the company who sold the ticket declared four while they were responsible for the route, so those four aren't in doubt.

Then they declared 14 more, but the company whose route it is declared none.

So are those 14 days 'TPE days' (as the company who has the passenger's money) or 'Northern days' (as the company who is responsible for the route)?

I don't know the answer, I'm just rephrasing the question to see if I understand it.

The reason I asked for the journey is to check that you have the numbers correct. There is no void day for North West in the last 13 periods. (See here.)

The days you quoted were an incomplete set for the Scotland service group. Was that what they told you your service group were?

I was working off the RDG (?) figures that combine North West and Scotland into one group http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/Discounts_Void Days_1709.pdf

I know that during the last franchise TPE split North West and Scotland performance figures for a period before rapidly changing back again to North / South / North West for the remainder of the franchise as if they had been told off by someone. I hadn't seen a TPE performance report since the new franchise to see that they had split again (which does make sense given the remapping in April) and thus the RDG/National Rail listing didn't match.

Oh, and I'm the "they". This forum often the best place to get answers when it comes to matters concerning Northern...

A few years ago I used to use a split ticket for my journey from Dewsbury to Manchester - a WYPTE Metrocard with a Marsden to Manchester annual season. The MAN/MSN ticket was clearly a Northern only route in its own right, but of course I only travelled on TPE. When renewing the ticket at the (Virgin) travelcentre at MAN, I had to ask for the void days but there wasn't an issue; same when I finished my Manchester commute I was able to get a refund from TPE for the previous year's void days.
