How long to spend in Morpeth

Is a couple of hours long enough to wander around Morpeth? Maybe taking in a coffee.

And are tickets to Alnmouth (from Newcastle or Morpeth) really valid via Berwick?

It's a nice town with a mix of shops etc but agree 2 hours is plenty, takes a few minutes to walk to/from the railway station assuming you're going there by train.
