Firstly I'm sorry if this is posted elsewhere. I passed my train driver assessments in early 2015 but failed the interview. I now have a TOC who says they are valid for 5 years and are putting me straight through to the second stage and another TOC saying they only last for 3 years and I'm having to do the assessments again. Do different TOCs have different rules? What if I now fail the assessment with this company and the other company says they are valid for 5 years? Will I have to do them again for that company too? Just seems strange. I tried to talk with them about it but they got a little bit funny as it sounded like I was saying they are wrong. In the RSSB rules I read it states they last for 5 years but am I wrong? Any help and advice would be very welcome right now! I look forward to hearing from you. Also the company that is saying they only last for 3 years hasn't given me very long to practice. I thought it needed to be a month of practice but I'veonly had 7 days and I was away for 4 of them.
