I'll be travelling on one of the peak-time 12 coach trains next week from Haywards Heath (ex Victoria) to Littlehampton (alighting at Lancing) to see a friend, so this is useful information. You can't always rely on the PIS announcement.

Ok - will do. Thanks for the information James I've missed a station due to being too far back on a short platform before: not a the best experience I've ever had!
