...what train is where at what time. I asked this last night in the chat area, and damon said to try yahoo groups and freightmaster.net . i had already looked at freightmaster, but you have to pay for that. I have 2 questions
1. What do you type in Yahoo Groups?
2. Are there any other sites?

Most things in life aren't free... As for Yahoo Groups, try searching for railway gen groups.

I use National Rail Live Departures for passenger trains

Replace XXX with the station

As for non-passenger trains I use Yahoo Groups

Sticky thread in 'Tours and Special Wkgs' subforum has a list of gen groups which you might like to nose at. There are groups for most things class/TOC/geographically wise. As you are based nearby I'll shamelessley plug 'Leighton Logs' www.geocities.com/nickrossa2002 which is more of a record site but does contain the occasional advance gen when we get it.
