Go about making either a SWT 455/7 or 455/8 refurb or unrefurb or Desiro train for BVE as I can get the cab layout and sounds for both these trains.I also get on 159s and 458 but notice that there are already trains done for these. Can also get pics of cab layouts but haven't quite got how to do this.I was thinking of using another train stuff and changing the bitmaps about.

Can get motor sounds and the whining sounds of desiro 450/444.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

I can get cab photos of 455's on SWT refurb and the vey few unrefurb 455/8s as well as desiro as well as the sounds would love to do this. The 159 refurbed cab as well as the 159/1s and the 158/8s.Though 158's junipers pigs have been done.

No desiro 450/444's done then?

I like the whining sound as they pull away and the same sound for braking.

Im back at work wednesday so i'll get some pics.Im on 455s and 159's.

Got to get the unrefurb pic as they will soon all be gone.

How long have you been driving them?

I actually started on 315's in 1982-1986 which are very similar and got onto 455's in 1989.

Fred is in love with 5872 and that's about it.

He hasn't probably even been taken around a train by a driver explaining what everything does.

I've been lucky with trains. The most troublesome class I have come across is the 442s Wessex Pigs. One even broke down at Branksome in January in the last days of their service on SWT.Unit 2413 although I hadn't had too much trouble with 2413 in the 15 years I had been driving pigs.

So like a mug I volunteered to Learn the 458s and christ do I have problems with them or what.Yes I know where the environment cupboard is.

Interesting quote I have found.

(442s) They develop faults on average once every 29,000 miles, compared with one breakdown every 14,000 miles for the Class 458s being introduced by SWT. The company will save £1.5 million a year by cutting more than 50 jobs at the Bournemouth depot where the Class 442s are maintained.

So I have taken on a bundle of trouble with the 458s.

Fred are you going to become a train driver?

I saw 5872 yesterday.It's been refurbished.

My favourite was 24006.Saw it at Glasgow in 1979.Withdrawn.
44005 at Stoke on Trent railway station in 1979.I was minding my own business when it came through.
24082 at Willesden in 1981?I was near the depot when I heard an engine sound and nearly fell over when I saw what it was.
55007 Pinza Travelled on it to York in 1979.

Im sure there are others.

Of course im an old git now but I was 16 in 1979. :(

I've got some pics of 5873's cab.

Had it yesterday it's unrefurbished working with a refurbished 5735.

I like the 458s though and a new challenge.

Saying that I have had problems on Desiro's for the last three days.

Don't know when I will get on a 458 again.
