How do I delete content (rolling stock, scenarios, routes, etc.) from TS2014?

Can someone advise me, please, on how to delete content from Train Simulator 2014, especially rolling stock, but also scenarios, routes, etc.

As in permanently deleting them or deleting them so that new copies will get downloaded

At the moment I'm looking to permanently delete some freeware (UKTS) rolling stock but would appreciate knowing how to delete/reinstall other Steam, UKTS, Just Trains, etc. content if needed in future.

To delete assets it would be as simple as finding the appropriate content folder in the Assets folder and deleting it (or cutting it and pasting it somewhere outside of it, incase you want to reinstall it). Don't forget that you would also need to clear the cache. Payware stuff would usually come with an uninstaller to do it automatically for you. However, just be aware that doing that may mean that some scenarios become unplayable!
