How different is the practice test to the real test?

Have an upcoming assessment this week for Scotrail Safety & Concentration Test and have downloaded the SCAAT practice paper that was sent to me and was wondering how different the practice is to the test. The practice one is scoring out letters (upper/lower case) in a grid.
Browsing through the group bourdon tool sticky (not d/l it as on android just now) and it there is mentions of shapes, is that something similar to what is on the test or will it be similar to the practice sheets.

The actual test will be very similar to the one in the sticky - shapes.

Personally i would recommend you download the bourdon practice material, I failed first time round as the practice material was nothing like the real thing

I personally would say print of the group Bourdon and don’t use a phone or tablet to practice it! The letters they give u won’t help you and you need to practice identifying the shape of the 4 dots it will help you also remember it’s not all about speed but more about accuracy... obviously if you only do two lines it won’t be enough.. there are plenty of free downloads of this online.
I’d also YouTube the other test! To enlighten you. And if you’re really serious. How to become a train driver website has materials you can buy which are identical to the live test, bit pricey but how bad do you want the job?
The tests are easy to pass if you prepare but very easy to take for granted and fail!

From my experience, I practiced the upper and lower case letters for a fortnight before my test. When it came to the real test, I found looking for the 4 dots much easier than the U and v shapes

Cheers guys although it is not for a train driver post. It's a Staion Grade A post for which I cannot remember the job specifics of as it was about 6 weeks ago.

How long does the SCAAT test last. On the test paper it says set a timer for 60 seconds and when that's up, start a new line for another 60 seconds. Can do about 11-13 lines total. Now on the Group Bordoun test tool it's 60 seconds and then it's onto the next page doing about 6 lines in that time (less for finding 2 shapes).
Time to finish a page of 1 shape is just over 2 minutes, time to finish a page for 2 shapes is just over 4 minutes and I do realise that you wont finish a page.
This for shapes and letters and not the dots.

The actual test was 2 minutes per page, think I messed up mind. One of the shapes was a V and I marked a few Vs that crossed over themselves, thinking I had double vision at that point. Realised too late to correct it. Find out in a few days now.

Have to stop posting thinking I've failed as just recieved email saying i've passed. Could any of you kind people give me a description of the job as I didn't save it and for whatever reason the Abellio profile page doesn't recognise my email.
Station Grade A (Internal Relief General Purpose Relief). Queen St.

Googling it gives me the first few lines but as job is expired I cannot get full description. It's customer service and train dispatch role.
