How busy are these 2 Southern trains?

I know I've asked about one of these trains before but that was relating to a Friday before a bank holiday. So I wondered on a NORMAL Friday, how busy are these 2 trains in terms of of changes of getting a seat?

Friday
Depart: East Croydon 2015/06/19 at 1711 SOUTHERN
Arrive Hove 2015/06/19 at 1801

and also the

Friday
Depart: Clapham Junction 1642 2015/06/19 at 1711 SOUTHERN
Arrive Brighton 2015/06/19 at 1739

For this second one would it be a case of getting on at the front and most likely a lot of people will get off at East Croydon?

2nd one's a 12-car and there should be plenty of room, if not from Clapham Junction, then certainly from East Croydon. Friday's a quieter day for commuters, as there seems to be a large number of folk 'working from home' on Fridays on this line.
