I will be totally honest with you, it is very difficult to get a trainee train driver role.
You will need to improve your written and spoken English if you're going to have any chance of passing the sift and the assessments that follow.
I'd start with an English course to brush up on this and then you need to check the train operating companies career pages for trainee driver roles and then apply.

Ok I'll answer your question, for the most part some companies will offer Trainee Depot driver roles which you don't need experience for of course and which you need to stay in a minimum of 6 months to a 1 year as your now qualified driver. Untill a trainee mainline driver role opens with a different TOC or in my case I would be required to have 2 years experience and then apply for qualified driver as far as I'm aware we no longer offer Trainee mainline driver roles.

Multi modular interview = STAR technique they want to see if you can cope with stress and trouble of DOO trains as some services don't have guards they need to know your not a total plant pot.
Thousands apply if advertised externally it's a tough career choice. Most people go in as despatch , gateline , conductor, customer service and then internally apply as alot of roles go internal and if they cannot be filled it will go external.
