I thought Bedwyn was a through station.

It is, but only two up (0647 + 1332) and four down (1330, 1824, 1924, 1935) trains call there that serve any point further west. All other trains come from London or Reading and terminate before returning East.

ATW to Shotton. And if that's not hourly then the last move was invalid (or would have to be made into a return trip) as we'd be forced to go back on the same service.

As there's still no other way away from North East Lincolnshire, I shall say:

A trip with Northern Rail to Barton-on-Humber and back.

EDIT: That isn't hourly either, so there is actually no other way out.

Therefore, the valid posting of First TPE to Grimsby Town led us to somewhat of a dead-end as far as onward services on an hourly basis (with the obvious exception of First TPE to Cleethorpes) is concerned so we should back-track to posting # 1875 made by DanTrainMan185 of ATW to Manchester Piccadilly.

For the sake of good order, I will take it on from there by saying.....

Northern to Manchester Airport

Let us not forget, also, that the rules do allow us to make out-and-back trips using hourly or more services (i.e. we could have gone to Grimsby/Cleethorpes return so the following posting would have been leading off from back at Manchester Piccadilly in this instance).

From Manchester Airport, we'll have First TPE to Preston.
