Hotel bedrooms overlooking busy railway stations

Moxy hotel overlooking Stratford, almost continuous trains from 5am to 1am with noisy rail joints to boot. Closing the windows was useless!

In 1969/70 I stayed for work in the Merchant Navy Club in Cardiff which in those days overlooked the east end of the main station. If you were allocated a front room overlooking the station you were continually woken up at night by freight trains especially double headed Class 37s on coal trains.
