Unusual Sprinter workings at Horrocksford Junction near Clitheroe today involving 153315, 150211, 153316 & 150122.
150211 & 153315 had arrived from Manchester and were sat in the usual place before reversal to go back to Manchester. This set had to wait for a Class 66 Network Rail train to head past on the other line.
Once 150211 and 153315 had crossed over the points it held position rather than heading into the platform. 66426 which had been waiting for the line to be clear then passed through towards Hellifield.
150211 &; 153315 then made a really rare/unusual move, back across the points and ran down the Cement works branch line. Further down the branch 150122 & 153316 were stabled.
Both trains joined, then the 6 car set with help from the men in orange set off for Manchester as a 6 car set.

Can anyone shed any light on why 150122 & 153316 were stabled on the Cement works branch?
