Hi All
Been trying to figure something out, if anyone has their thoughts or answers, that'd be great....
Hornby last year announced Duke of Gloucester, in 3 variants...
Railroad
Standard
In a pack with 3 Mk1 coaches (new tooling on the coaches)
...and then on the 2014 announcement, added
1960 BR Late Crest
'Twin Track' DCC Sound Version
I'm trying to figure out which version is the most detailed, and value for money - the Twin Track sound one is already DCC fitted, so that saves a decoder purchase, plus has the added benefit of sound for relatively low price compared to DCC sound locos before, but the pack comes with the coaches - but I don't know whether the loco in the pack is the standard one or the railroad one - and there is the 1960 BR late crest one - which is just under the price of the TTS model, but doesn't have a decoder at all, so is extra detail you're paying for? Any clues anyone?
Thanks
Jason
