Are the lifts at Queensway (installed by Metronet in 2005/06) the most unreliable on the network? I've never known another station where a lift is out of action so frequently, whether for planned maintenance or due to a technical fault.
They're slow as well...

I had a moan about the Queensway station lifts in a previous thread.

They were installed in 2005/06, and have been unreliable ever since. 2 or 3 years ago major refurbishment work was carried out, with each lift shut for several months. Now they're going to be shut again so that the lift motors can be replaced.
QUEENSWAY STATION: Major lift refurbishment work at Queensway station until Sunday 9 March and also between Monday 31 March until mid December 2014.One of the two lifts will be out of service at a time and at busy times you may prefer to use nearby Notting Hill Gate station, for Central line services, or Bayswater station (approx 160m) for Circle and District line services.
A great Metronet legacy to London...:-x

What is actually the issue with them? Other than having been a brainchild of the amazingly terrible Metronet?
