Hoofddorp is a small town about 3 miles west of Schiphol.
I'm in a room facing the station and bus way, if I were on the other side I'd be watching the planes fly in!
It's the Intercity Hotel, 200m from the station, and rather splendidly in the room there's a huge map on the wall I could stare at for hours!
It's given me one heck of an idea when redecorating at home!
