A complaint on my local forum mentions that Honor Oak Park LOROL station is not selling the TfL only Zone 1 cash fare. Instead the ticket office and TVM's charge the NR/TfL through fare of £6.

Any reason why the TfL fare is not available from this station, despite the TfL only journey being an option from this station?

What's the station asked for? The Oyster single fare finder for a journey like Honor Oak Park to Oxford Circus does give the correct TfL only fare although also mentions the more expensive National Rail through fare if you press the button.

Sorry, I should have said the Zone 1-3 TfL paper ticket single which is £4 which HOP isn't selling. Instead the customer could only purchase the NR through fare of £6 despite being a TfL station.

Strangely the single fare finder page doesn't show the £4 cash fare for Honor Oak Park to Oxford Circus, it just shows the Oyster fares. If you put Stratford to Oxford Circus it does show cash as well. Maybe there is an issue because not all trains from Honor Oak Park qualify for the TfL only fare?

I have to wonder what the aversion to using Oyster for this sort of journey is though. I know there is a £5 refundable deposit, but after that the fares are so significantly cheaper. The only time I wouldn't recommend Oyster is when you want to spend time riding around on trains without touching out and in again.

It seems that at HOP they assume most journeys to TfL destinations require a through ticket via London Terminals.

I wonder if the former Silverlink LOROL stations which use a different ticketing system have the same problem?

LOROL for reasons known to them decided that the former Southern ticketing equipment is adequate for the job for stations south of New Cross Gate, despite not being able to register or add photocard data to Oyster Cards, also you have to inform the station with a days notice if you wish to buy annual travelcards on Oyster and now it seems you can't even buy TfL only paper tickets.

Also, according to another local resident, HOP is unable to sell paper tickets to Clapham Junction via Crystal Palace, instead they sell the via London paper ticket, despite having a through service!
