Honiton to Warrington Bank Quay

Good Morning,

I intend to make one of my period trips from Devon to Warrington - travelling with a wheelchair bound, disabled person.

The date planned is Sunday 6th April - but looking at the timetable it seems there are four changes, rather than the normal two (EXD and BHM) that I am very used to.

I need to minimize the risks with this journey.

Is there any easier route? or, perhaps I should wait until Monday?

It looks like there is a line closure between Wolverhampton and Stafford on Sunday, so the number of changes is impacted by that.

Fewest changes I can see on the Sunday would be 3 (Exeter St Davids, Newport, Crewe).

Monday would be your normal 2 changes.

You could also do changes at Exeter then Tamworth then Stafford or Crewe - not sure how this compares to the route suggested above.
