Hi All,
Firstly - to the mods - apologies if something like this has already been started, it didn't seem apparent on first glance. I hope this is the correct place to post it, please do move if not.
There have been various announcements in the press which indicate that Network Rail is planning major engineering works over the holiday period in some areas, while most commuters will be off the network. I thought it might be useful to have a thread in which folks intending to travel during this time, to visit family etc, might have advice as to whether the journey may be disrupted by such works and what might be the best way around it.
I'll start - I am planning to travel with FGW Paddington to Worcester Foregate St, via the cotswold line, on the 27th December, returning to London on the 28th. I would be most grateful if someone could tell me whether there are works which could prevent this journey, and advise on the best workaround if so?
Many thanks all,
Londiscape
