Can I use my season pass to get between London Kings Cross and Moorgate (I dont have the underground on it)? I walked through the barriers the other day, using my season pass without thinking at Kings Cross. I was surprised when it let me through.

so, is that legal?

I think any normal "London Terminals" ticket is valid on the tube between Kings Cross and Moorgate, due to it previously being a BR/NR route.

I can't possibly say without knowing where your season is from! (presumably it's to London Terminals)

Yup. card says Peterborough and London Terminals on it.

The 'more recent Thameslink route' actually expired as laid down in the closure agreement - Moorgate ceased to be a London Terminal from the Thameslink side two years after services ceased, ie on 22 Mar 2011.

On the other hand because there are so many limitations in mag stripe ticket encoding any London Terminals ticket will probably let you out at Moorgate, even if you shouldn't have got there via the underground...
