Anglo Scottish Car Sleeper Services, Summer 1961
These operated for various periods in the summer, typically May or June to September, but some ran only on peak summer dates.

Edinburgh Waverley to London, Holloway Loading Bay. Daytime, no sleepers. (25/5 - 30/9)
Edinburgh dep. 12:25 (SX)/ 11:15 (SO); Holloway dep. 07:55 (SX) / 07:20 (SO)

Glasgow St. Enoch to Eastbourne (18/6 - 21/9)
Glasgow dep 19:45 (Su,Tu,Th); Eastbourne dep 22:04 (MWO) / 21:05 (SO)

Glasgow St. Enoch to London Marylebone (17/5 - 25/9)
Glasgow dep. 18:38 (MWSO); Marylebone dep. 19:25 (TuThO / 19:35 (SuO)

Inverness - Newcastle & York
Inverness dep. 21:45 (SO, 13/5-30/9); (MO 29/5- 25/9); (ThO 18/5, then 27/7-18/8)
return next day, York 21:50, Newcastle 23:33

Inverness - Sutton Coldfield. (12/6 - 9/9)
Inverness dep 23:20 (MWSO); Sutton Coldfield dep 21:30 (TuThO) / 21:43 (SuO)

Perth - London Kings Cross
(MO, 3/4 only); ThSuO 23/3 - 27/4), then FX, 30/4 - 1/10)
Perth dep 20:00 (SuX) / 21:43 (SuO); return Kings Cross dep. 21:05

Stirling - Sutton Coldfield
(MSO, 3/4-7/10); (WO 24/5 - 13/9)
Stirling dep 20:35 (MWSO); Sutton Coldfield dep. 21:30 (TuThO); 21:43 (SuO)

All trains were 2nd Class only apart from the daytime Edinburgh - Holloway car carriers.
Fares varied with distance, but were typically £ 21 for car + driver, and £7.50 for each additional passenger.

For normal Sleeping Car services, fares depended whether or not you crossed the England/Scotland border. (translated into decimal equivalents).
These were supplementary to the normal fare for the journey.

1st Class, Single berth: £1.50 (single country) / £2 (both countries)
2nd Class, Single berth compartments: (£1.75, both countries)
2nd Class (Berth in 2 berth compartment: £1 / £ 1.125)
2nd Class (Berth in 4 berth compartment) 60p. / 70p.
