Nope, it's not Preston or York and it's not in London.

Here's another clue: this station was a major interchange point, a very important junction on one of the most important main lines in the country, at the time. But not now.

Yes, unbelievably it is Knottingley!

Today it has just 2 passenger trains per hour (one to Leeds, one to Wakefield), 2 platforms, no roof and is an unimportant terminus. Even the York-Sheffield via Pontefract trains avoid Knottingley these days.
