Historic trains regulation help needed!

Good evening to everyone.

I wish to present myself my name is Alvaro and I'm a spaniard, member of one of the very few railway preservation societies in Spain. A group of friends and I are trying to compile all the regulations involving hsitoric reailways around Europe to try to establish, in the future a proper regulation for presrved trains in Spain, since nowadays there is none. For that purpose I would like to know where could I get the regulation involving hisotiric trains running on mainline railways, not heritage railways (we don't have as such), in brief we would like to know all the regulation apllied to all the presrved or historic trains running on british mainline mainline, maintenance certifications needed, operational regulations, security equipment needed, of steam, electric, and diesel vehicles.

I would like to thank all of you in advance for any help given, and I really appreciate any input on the subject.

I think quite a lot of the main line running rules will be the same as in Spain, as gradually the EU has standardised them.

To help you understand the documents you find, AWS is a warning system that warns the driver that a signal they have passed is at caution/yellow, meaning that the next signal is at red/stop/danger. A panel changes colour, if not acknowledged by the driver a horn sound and then the brakes are apllied automatically. TPWS is used to enforce speed restrictions and stop trains passing a signal at red/danger/stop.

Recently some enthusiasts built a new steam locomotive based on old designs updated to modern standards. There might be some useful discussions about what is needed to bring an old train up to modern standards out there somewhere. The locomotive is called Tornado. You could try contacting the people who made it.

I think the main things required were AWS, TPWS, modern cab radios, a black box data recorder and being slightly lower so that it can run under modern electricity cables.
