Highland Sleeper calling at Tamworth tonight (28/03)?

On the train and we just stopped at Tamworth and from the lounge car it seemed that some people were walked past and boarded the seated section. Any ideas? Certainly never recall stopping there before.

Looking on Open Train Times, your train does not appear to be booked to stop at Tamworth.

Could have been a Special Stop Order - according to RTT, it did lose 7 mins between the place before Tamworth (running -2) and Lichfield (running +5)

Well, normally the sleepers are booked on the fast lines through the Trent Valley so definitely unusual. But last nights crossed to the slows at Amington Junction and crossed back to the fasts at Litchfield.
But, it won't stop at Tamworth tonight, as all 4 sleepers are rerouted via the ECML

That's correct. SSO issued - something to do with a signal delay at Cholsey (GWML) affecting 1M70 (17:45 Bournemouth - Man Picc). No i don't understand it either... :|

Thought it would be along those lines, better than stranded passengers, pax might have wanted to board t Crewe and were unable to get there due to a previous delay.

So could I presume that some passengers on the route between Bournemouth and Birmingham New Street had to get an alternative train to Tamworth, then onto the SR Sleeper to Crewe for onward connections?
