High Speed Rail used a freight link?

Hi there, I am currently researching into the modernisation of rail in Europe and was interested in whether there are any high speed rail lines, typically tracks that allow speed in excess of 230kph, which also run freight trains on them.

The reason I ask is because freight trains travel a lot slower and also cause a lot more pressure on the tracks due to their larger weight. I just thought it would be interesting to see if this is possible.

Yes, most of the German high speed lines carry freight and the CTRL is designed for some freight. The German lines are built in a slightly different way to French lines, with short 'bypasses' being the way, they also tend to be quite flat, with the exception of the new Frankfurt line. The Swiss are also building a lot of new tunnels/lines with freight in mind such as the new alpine base tunnels. As Switzerland is a transit country, people would rather have freight on trains out the way, rather than clogging up mountain roads.

Freight in Europe becoming more important with new Chinese-Germany flows, which take half the time of ships, even with the crew/gauge changes.
