Does anyone know anything about the heritage stock stored on the old paper mill site just outside Inverurie? Went past today and looks like a Class 14 and some kind of Network SouthEast liveried multiple unit.

D9500 - https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/class-14-in-inverurie-aberdeenshire.226773/

The unit is 2-HAP 4311 http://www.cs.rhrp.org.uk/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=3632
With DMBSO 61287 (qv) formed Class 414/3 2-HAP set 6089/4311. By 05/00: to Electric Railway Museum at Coventry. 04/18: moved to Andrew Briddon Locomotives site at Darley Dale following closure of the Electric Railway Museum. By 12/22: moved to Kirkwood Commercial Park, Port Elphinstone, Inverurie.

Welcome to Andrew Briddon Locos

Most people collect things that are small and easily stored - like stamps. Others collect more esoteric things – Victorian glass bottles, beermats or similar. Not many people in the UK collect railway locos and full size ones at that!

Interesting, thanks! I wonder why /how they’ve ended up in Inverurie? My uncle used to own the ex paper mill on the site which piqued my interest!

Is this within the old sidings? Are they still connected to the network?
No. Not rail connected. That much can be seen from the video clip. Seems they are at Port Elphinstone, on the southern approach to Inverurie.

Many thanks, I haven’t been able to watch the video due to poor connectivity at the moment. I do recall that there were former rail connected sidings at the mill and wondered if one and the same.
