Talk about joining a forum to advertise another ...

Put it this way - yet another forum may seem a good idea but is pointless.

It takes a while to establish and most railways would be more interested in advertising on already popular boards branching out...

For those who are quick to criticise this not a database its just a simple forum for people to talk about differant railways post events from their local railways and general chit chat about loco's etc

In this case what is wrong with my forum? some people like to be part of a community that isn't involved in so many things like this one i can't understand why you have to be so critical over the fact that i have my own forum for people to join what is your problem? its not something to with RailUK so you have to just criticise and try and get them to stop bothering? sounds about right to what ive heard before really :|

Because IMHO there is no point duplicating something which is already available.

Joining a forum just to advertise your own is really quite pointless and is generally frowned upon.

if you have a look on this forum, he is advertising BRT, TSC, Railuk, and BVE Railnetwork. So, I think maybe he should be alowed to advertise his forum here. We advertise our oun sites and forums, so why can't he?

The difference is that while people here advertise their speciality forums, they do so with small links in their signatures. D9521 joined the forum, then almost straight away made a post advertising his forum (without I might add, asking permission from either the admins or the site owner).

Anyway, locked ....
