Heritage Electrics on Lymington Branch

I've heard that the Heritage class 421 unit's used on the Lymington branch are due to finish during May. Could anyone advise the best day to travel on these trains & as i live in South Wales, which would b the best way to travel there, any information would be appreciated, thank you.

The best way 2 get to Brockenhurst would probably to get a train from cardiff/newport to reading then a XC service to Bournemouth which will stop at Brockenhurst. Has anyone else got any better suggestions cos I'm not entirely sure how expensive/quick that will be.

The blue & grey unit was out playing last evening on the branch.

As for getting there, unless you want to travel to Bristol, or Bath, change for a Weymouth train and get off at Dorchester West, walk to Dorchester South then catch a Weymouth - London train to Brockenhurst, :roll:I would as suggested travel to Reading and change for a XC to Brockenhurst.

Or I suppose you could get a S Wales to Portsmouth train, change at Southampton and get off at Brockenhurst. It seems all but two? SWT evening peak Down Waterloo trains stop at Brockenhurst.

If by easier you mean cheaper then yes. But it is faster to go Via Reading.... Up to the OP for which way he goes
