Henley-on-Thames - Sunderland Super Off peak return

Hello,

I have a super off peak return HOT - SUN for tomorrow morning (6th March). Journey planner says I can use the 0742 from Henley to get the 0930 from Kings Cross. My question is could I get the 0707 from Henley instead and break my journey in London for breakfast (intending to get the 1000 or 1030 from the Cross)?

Also I'd like to exit the tube at Great Portland Street and then walk to Kings Cross - would this ticket open the barrier there or will I need to use contactless?

1) Yes. No restriction between Henley & London

2) It won't open the barrier, but the friendly, reliable, helpful CSA will let you out stress free.
