Help!

How would one go about putting a train from one route into another? For example say i wanted to put the 156 or 170 into the WCML north route how would i do it. I have seen videos on you tube of this so i know it can be done. Amy help much appreciated

When in the world Editor mode, make sure you in the 'Train' mode.

By hoovering your mouse on the top pannel on the left pop up click the train icon and click on.

When on that, hoover your mouse to the middle of the left for a big popup to appear, then click on the Blue box with a orange arrow on it, an box on the right will now appear. In the drop down menu go to 'Thompson' for the Class 170, then click on the tick box next to it to select the assests.

For the 156 find Oovee in the assest menu and select 156

Then you can place them like normal.

Ok thank you. I just realised when in the editor i could only pick trains from the route or default trains. But thank you very much for your help.

Not surprised you're confused about this. It took me ages to figure out how to do this, very complicated and a definite flaw in the editor mode.

No, I don't think it's a flaw - it prevents me having to scroll through loads of US locos when I'm in a UK route, or steam era stock when I'm working in a modern-day route. It's just a matter of realising that the object set filter is there, and then using it intelligently.

I should have probably written my previous post more clearly, this was more what I was referring to.

It's also to preserve memory. If all locos were automatically available, that would mean all developer boxes were already ticked. When loading a scenario, the program needs to find everything that is used, finding them all would lead to much longer scenario times.
