I am now not just a driver. I am an instructor and Pilot for other drivers. I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with the translation of the terminology of switches directions. It is for a manual to other pilots.

If I am not mistaken one is a “Phasing switch”

But the “schoolbook” names? And the “every day”?

Two to one would be Trailing
One to two would be Facing (that’s probably what you’re interpreting as Phasing)
