Help with scanning old slides

Purchased a Kenro film scanner a while back and it’s been great scanning thousands of old slides onto SD cards
Suddenly last week , although the spinning wheel on the scanner is still there and it appears to be doing its job , the scans no longer appear on the SD card when I try to view them on my camera , the old ones are still there . Took some ordinary pics with my camera and they show up on the card , anyone any idea what’s wrong ? Laptop broken so cannot see what is on card on laptop .

Not easy to answer if you do not have some form of working computer, but a few thoughts....
Is the card getting a bit full?
Are the images produced by the scanner in the same file format as those produced by the camera ?
Some mobile phones may be able to view images on the SD card if you have a USB card reader.
Other than that - get your laptop repaired or replaced if/when you can afford.....

I would not advise using cards as your only means of storing images. If you have not already done so, I would suggest making back-up copies of photos on some external device, e.g. a portable hard disc drive, or "the cloud" - if you trust that to remain safe and affordable.

If the card was corrupt or full, there would be a error message to say this. I'd suggest that your "missing" files are somewhere on your card. You do need a PC or MAC to see what is on there

Agree with BP, always have a backup and a duplicate backup of important files.

I suspect the file path is different. I have 3 cameras and they all use a different folder name to save the images so you can only see using the camera by default other images saved from that camera. Though i can see all folders if I copy the card onto my Mac.
I tend to scan old photos into dedicated folders on the Mac hard drive Which get backed up but also then copy that folder onto a couple of USB sticks as a separate back up.

Without a laptop or other way to view the files on the card it will be difficult to determine. Is it a micro-SD card that you can put into your phone?

Using the same card in different cameras is not recommended

It's usually only a problem if they both use the same filename format.

Has anyone used one of the machines in stores like Boots where you can order prints of photos?

Could the OP just put the memory card in the machine to see what is on it, without having to make an order?
