hello guys,

being a bloody nuisance again, got all my tickets that i need for the day, but I need to know what platforms I shall need at certain times.

I arrive at BHM New street on saturday at 09.38hrs and depart on a cross country service to Oxford at 10.04, which platform does this depart from?

later in the day I have to catch the 14:30 Virgin service to London Euston, anyone know which platform this normally departs from?

Likewise I have to catch the 16:15 EMT service to Leicester from st pancras.

cheers.

Train from Leicester at BHM arrives 10A. Oxford XC leaves from 3A.
14.30 to EUS from BHM leaves from platform 4.
16.15 to LEI from STP leaves from platform 3.

Confirm the platforms before getting on any trains, especially at New Street.

Don't really know London but 21 mins to get from Euston to st pancras seems optimistic.

Aye, 21 mins is fine to walk platform-platform (except in Advance ticketing terms obviously) - there also tends to be 3-4 minutes slack in the timetable too don't forget, and the Brum trains in particular strike me as being well-padded. Also, if not on Advances, then there's 4tph from St Pancras anyway :)

This means, of course, OP, that nobody could tell you with 100% certainty in advance but any advance info may only be taken as a guide

It's mainly pot luck with XC services at New street, most of the time I've arrived at a different platform than what was said on OTT. obviously there are some platforms that they won't be at (1-4 come to mind), but it really could be anywhere.

Virgin services I've usually found are on platform 1 or 4
