hi everyone
i've joined because i've started having problems with ticket guards on merseyrail and i'm not sure if i've calculated a route incorrectly.
i want to travel from rock ferry to bache, and get a season ticket each week, but that is £23.00.
I had a bit of a research and decided that a Bidston to Hawarden ticket at £18.70 should be valid because there is an "easement" in atoc route guide, that says, 700076 Customers travelling from either the West Kirby or New Brighton Line Stations to or via Shotton may travel via Birkenhead Hamilton Square. This easement applies in both directions.
As Bidston is on the West Kirby line, I thought this "easement" was supposed to allow travel Hamilton square, so you could go via Chester.
Hawarden is beyond Shotton. (So in theory I think Bidston to Hamilton Square to Chester to Shotton to Hawarden is permitted)...
I "start" my journey at Rock ferry and get off at Bache, which is on the Birkenhead-Chester line.
However, merseyrail say this isn't valid and I can only use direct Arriva train from Bidston.
Can anybody help me???
Thanks
