Good Afternoon, I am looking to travel between Larvik and Olso with my Norwegian FIP coupon. Do I need to book a reservation or can I just board the train?

I think that's the line which goes past Torp Airport which is mostly unreserved local trains. I've just boarded with the coupons on that line around 4 years ago.

Agree doesn't appear any need to reserve for that journey. However on longer distance trains in Norway most folks do reserve, and there is no way of telling which seats are reserved and which aren't. If you are using a FIP coupon for a long journey a reservation is worthwhile for peace of mind to avoid playing musical chairs.

Thanks for the help guys. I contacted rail Canterbury whilst booking some other tickets. They said that they couldn't book it for some reason.
