Any tips or tricks to do the return journey below for less than the £112.55 Trainsplit is offering?

Is (journey) time of the essence? I don't know but I can imagine there being economies if you're prepared to take slower trains, take a different route or change during the journey. But 15/1 is a Thursday and you seem to want to travel in the evening peak so it may be an uphill battle to do better.

It’s for my mum and she is set on these times for whatever reason, just wondering if anyone can find any splits or loopholes (not crazy ones if you know what I mean) that trainsplit can’t! I’ve tried but am not coming up with much. Thanks though

Was going to suggest this too if they live within easy reach of Heathrow/Victoria and cost is the biggest factor. From £7.50 each way - what a bargain compared to the train!

A train stopping at Didcot would enable the Network card to be utilised There's a service at 17.18 which stops at Didcot and carries on to Swindon. At Swindon you change to the originally suggested train which is non-stop through Didcot.

If she was travelling and returning a day later she could use a Long Weekend Return which is 94.00. Might be worth bearing in mind if she does the trip again.
